It has been another super week for TES sports teams. Beginning with the Y5/6 football squad winning the one day football cup tournament last Saturday to achieve the league and cup double. The U13 boys basketball team put in a superb performance to win their 2nd game of the season against NES. The girls swim squads competed fantastically well in the 2nd ISACK swimming gala and to complete the week the girls U13 football team performed very well in the first ISACK girls football competition of the year.

On Sunday the girls ISACK swimming squad took part in the second gala of the year. TES entered their strongest swimmers in the U13 category and gave the opportunity for other members of the squad to swim in the U15 and Open categories for race experience. The girls performed very well and a number of personal bests were set as well as a number of medals gained. In the U13 category the girls finished in 2nd place with a total of 65 points. NES were first with 81 points and KES 3rd with 64 points. Well done to all of the girls who took part.

TES 63 v 19 NES
TES faced perhaps their toughest challenge of the season this week against NES. NES have always proved to be a difficult obstacle in the past but the TES team were in awesome form and took a commanding lead from the start of the game. The boys led 15-2 at the end of the 1st quarter and continued to score at a superb rate for the rest of the game. The score eventually ended 63-19 to TES with everyone in the squad playing their part. Yousef in particular was fantastic, putting in a strong combative performance that inspired all of his team mates. TES have now played 2 games and won 2 games, the squad play BSK away next week in what could be a tough game. Unfortunately the game v KNES had to be postponed and has been rescheduled for Tuesday 6th January.
U13 ISACK Girls Football Tournament
On Wednesday, TES girls U13 football team played in the 1st ISACK tournament of the year. The girls played very well in what was a good warm up competition for the BSME Games after the winter break. TES were unbeaten in all of their matches, drawing 0-0 with NES and KES and beating BSK 1-0, ESF 1-0 and TEA 2-0. Charlotte and Eve both scored twice. Unfortunately TES lost out to NES for 1st place with NES winning 4 games and drawing 1 of their games. Nontheless it was a very good performance from the girls. Well done to all of the girls that took part: Mia, Eve, Mariam, Davina, Alex, Millie, Aysha, Georgia, Charlotte and Zeina.
Y5/6 Boys win the KFSAC Football Cup
Y5/6 Football one day Cup Tournament
The Y5/6 football squads played in the annual one day football tournament on Saturday to bring an end to the Y5/6 football season. The boys had already won the league the previous Wednesday and went into the competition as favourites. The boys started well beating ESF 6-1 and BSK 6-0. In their 3rd game they drew 1-1 with NES and qualified for the semi finals as group winners. In the semi final the boys took on ATIS and after going a goal down rallied to win the game 4-2. In the final TES took on KES who beat NES in the other semi final. TES played superbly well and won the game 4-2 to become cup winners. This means that the boys have won both the league and cup and have remained unbeaten all season. A terrific achievement. Well done to all of the squad: Owain, Cassius, Archie, Rami, Basil, Patrick (C), Cameron, Danny and Abdullah.
