Great Start to the New Year for TES U13 teams
U13 Boys Football
On Tuesday 8th January TES U13 boys football team played NES in their 4th game of the season. Following two excellent victories against ESF and TEA and a 3-3 draw with BSK before the winter break TES went into the game with a record of played 3 won 2 drew 1. After a fast and frenetic opening TES took the lead through Brandon Jones. The forward scored with a powerful strike from 20 yards that the NES goalkeeper could not hold. NES gradually came into the game for the remainder of the half with some nice football but the score remained 1-0 to TES at half time. Into the second half and TES quickly put the game beyond doubt. Brandon Jones doubled his tally with a neat finish and then scored his hat trick after good work from Imad Khachab. NES pulled a goal back but Andrew Saleh immediately scored a 4th goal for TES to make the final score 4-1 and give TES a convincing victory.
The week before the winter break TES played BSK in a fantastic game. The score ended 3-3, which was just about fair as both teams played their part in a thrilling game. BSK took the lead early in the game but Andrew Saleh equalised. BSK then made it 2-1 just before half time. After a rousing team talk by the TES coaches the boys played some fantastic football and battled extremelly hard for the remainder of the game. An own goal and Andrew Saleh’s second of the game put TES in front. It looked as though TES had done enough but a silly free kick with seconds remaining was given away and a superb strike from the BSK left winger gave Tariq Saleh in the TES goal no chance. It was a superb all round performance from TES and the players should be very proud of themselves for their hard work and effort.
Next week TES take on ABS and look to build on their record of Played 4 Won 3 Drew 1 so far this season.
