In the penultimate week of the academic year we run an Enrichment Week.
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore a range of co-curricular
activities – a ‘week without walls’ - that will supplement their learning. By
utilising our own ‘in-house’ skills and those of guest speakers, by visiting
external venues and utilising specialist instructors and by providing a range
of overseas trips, our planning teams in Prep and Pre-Prep put together a
wonderful programme of activities for pupils to enjoy.
Pupils in Years 5 – 8 have the opportunity to experience an overseas trip.
Many of us will remember going on an overseas school trip and how much
we learnt from the experience about different places, about our friends, and
about ourselves! Indeed, memories for life. All trips are ‘hosted’ by reputable
travel companies with experience in the educational field and with a clear
understanding of the needs of such groups. Itineraries and schedules are
balanced to develop educational themes and perspectives, as well as allowing
for the children to have time for supervised and more recreational pursuits.
Destination examples include a Space Camp in Turkey, PGL Water Sports and
Culture trip to Spain and a Performing Arts Trip to New York.
