It has been another superb week for TES sports teams. Both the U13 girls basketball and U13 boys volleyball teams started their seasons with convincing victories. To top the week off the Y5/6 Girls netball team were victorious in the annual KFSAC tournament which means TES are in 1st place in the overall KFSAC standings by 6 points over NES after 12 events with 5 events left to go this year.
U13 Girls Basketball
The U13 Girls Basketball team started the season on a superb note, convincingly beating TEA 65-1 in a one sided contest. The girls started brightly and took a 14-0 lead into the 2nd quarter. TES continued to pile on the points with every player in the squad contributing to the total over the next 3 periods. Mariam Noureddine top scored for TES with Farah Du Lieu and Hannah Mathew also scoring highly. TES worked tirelessly on defence and the result was a whole team effort. Next week the girls face NES away in what will be an extremely tough game.
U13 Boys Volleyball
The U13 Boys Volleyball team had a super start to the season this week, beating TEA 2 sets to 0. The boys played some excellent volleyball and convincingly won both sets 25-9 and 25-3. It was a great start to the season from the boys who showed the same form that they displayed during the BSME Games at the start of January. Next week the boys will face a very tough test when they play NES at home.
