More Success for TES KFSAC teams
On Wednesday 6th February TES competed in the girls and boys Y5/6 Unihoc KFSAC competitions. The boys travelled to ABS school and the girls to NES for their competitions. The girls made it through to the semi finals with 2 wins and 1 draw from their 3 games played. In the semi finals they beat KES 1-0 and met NES in the final. In the final TES were the much stronger team but could not manage to force a goal after numerous opportunities. The game ended 0-0 and went to penalties. Unfortunately for TES after scoring their first penalty and NES scoring twice TES then missed which meant the trophy went to NES. A superb effort nonetheless from the girls and they should be very proud of their 2nd place finish out of 8 schools.
Well done to the team: Cameron Uys, Emma Jones, Kathryn Taylor, Eve Peterson, Nour Rashid and Hannah Mathew
The boys however went one step better. After winning all of their group games they comfortably won their semi final and as with the girls met NES in the final. This time it was a different story, again the final went to penalties but some great finishing and excellent saves from Andreas Lambros in goals ensured that TES triumphed and became Y5/6 Boys Unihoc champions for 2013. This is the 5th competition out of 9 that TES have won this season. It keeps TES out ahead over NES in the race for the overall trophy with 6 events remaining.
Well done to the team involved and to Naomi Byng for putting in a huge amount of hours and coaching the team: Donald Bolton, Ian Robb, Rayce Abal, Tariq Khachab, Andreas Lambros, TJ Gamali and Will Morris.
ISACK Results
Last week the boys played out an entertaining draw with GES. TES were 2-0 up at half time with goals from Brandon Jones and Donaven Lobo. However a good performance from GES saw them fight back in the second half to claim a share of the spoils. TES were not at their best and will need to improve against KES next week before the semi finals, most probably against GES again the week after.
The girls U13 netball team were beaten by NES and KES this week in two very tough netball games. The girls worked hard and gave every effort losing out 5-10 to NES and 10-16 to KES. The results mean that TES will play KES in the semi final this week with the winners likely to meet NES in the final on Tuesday 19th February. Good luck to the girls.
