Co-Curricular Activities

Children are encouraged to take part in the extensive co-curricular activities programme on offer at The English School in order to widen their experiences and develop new skills.

These include sports and the performing arts and are offered to children after school each day.

Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs): Activities that run alongside and directly complement the academic curriculum. They reinforce classroom learning, broaden academic horizons, and form an essential component of the holistic timetable (e.g., school sport, subject-specific societies, academic clinics, Model United Nations and accredited programmes such as DofE, LAMDA, and ABRSM).

Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs): Pursuits that take place entirely outside or beyond the scope of the core academic framework. They focus on school trips, hobbies, general interest, recreation, and broader personal development without a direct link to classroom subjects.

ECAs cover a wide variety of activities organised by the teachers. In addition, there are some ECAs offered by external coaches. A full list of the ECAs offered will be available each term on the school website. Some ECAs have an additional charge.

In addition to the ECAs run after school clubs, camps and activities would often be held at weekends and during the holidays.

Local educational trips enhance the curriculum and teachers would schedule of 2 or 3 visits each academic year for children in KG to Year 10. Years 5-10 would also have opportunities for overseas trips.
