At The English School, Kuwait, we embrace a dynamic approach to education, integrating traditional teaching methods with EdTech tools to create a rich and immersive learning experience for our students. We believe in the power of technology to enhance education, and one of our primary tools for achieving this is the iPad. Year 1 and Year 2 have shared devices provided by the school and we operate a BYOD programme from Year 3 upwards.
The use of iPads gives our students the opportunity to access blended learning approaches, seamlessly merging traditional classroom instruction techniques with digital resources. Through our comprehensive computing curriculum, we prioritise the development of digital literacy skills, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in students. We actively promote cross-curricular connections to ensure that digital literacy is seamlessly integrated into all areas of learning, empowering students to engage with content in interactive and meaningful ways, ultimately facilitating deeper understanding and retention.
