STEAM

We do not know what the jobs of the future will look like. However, we do know that many of the problems facing the world in the 21st century will be solved using skills acquired from a STEAM education.

At TES, we have underpinned our curriculum with four learning pillars (creative thinking, collaboration, critical thinking and communication) based on core STEAM principles. Alongside this, students get regular project-based learning opportunities to further develop these key skills.

Each year group participates in a collapsed-timetable STEAM Day each year, where they are asked to come up with innovative solutions to a problem. Whilst these days are very enjoyable for our students, most importantly they are encouraged to be creative, think critically, work well in groups and communicate effectively.

We are proud to be the host school for the BSME STEAM network for the second consecutive year.
