Students in the Foundation Stage will receive a report based on their progress in the EYFS Early Years
objectives. Students in Years 1 to 8 will receive a report based on their achievements in line with the objectives
set out in the National Curriculum for England, (2014).
All reports will be available electronically through the parents’ portal, and the dates for the release of these
reports will be on the school calendar.
The Term 1 report includes the setting of targets in all year groups, for children to work towards over the
remainder of the year. In Years 2 to 8 you will also be informed of their National Curriculum level of achievement
in English, maths and science. Class teachers and form tutors will also make a summative comment about their
educational and academic achievements throughout the first term.
The Term 3 report is a summative report of the progress and achievements of your child throughout the
academic year, in line with the EYFS or the National Curriculum for England (2014), as appropriate. The
Foundation Stage reports will comment on each EYFS area of learning, and teachers will summarise the learning
and progress that has been achieved throughout the year, as well as commenting on the pastoral side of your
child’s year in school. In Years 1 to 8, National Curriculum levels will be given in all subjects, as well as levels for
effort and attainment. End of year test scores will be recorded in this report, as well as a summative comment
about your child’s work and progress in each subject throughout the year. Class teachers and tutors will also
write a comment about your child’s overall performance throughout the year, both academically and pastorally.
