This week the children in Year 3 have been focusing on their Humanities topic of The Romans. On Tuesday they all took part in a very successful archaeological dig, which unearthed many Roman artefacts including earthenware, jewellery and coins. On Wednesday the staff and children in Year 3 came to school dressed in Roman costumes, ready to take part in a variety of Roman activities including gladiator training, artefact restoration, mosaic making and an apothecary. The day finished with a sumptious Roman feast, in our beduoin tent, which Emperor Allcott ordained with his presence. The whole day was a fantastic hands-on learning experience for the children and a great day was had by all.
