This week has been a relatively quiet week for sports fixtures as the ISACK teams prepare for the 3rd and final season of the year. However, the U13 girls Table Tennis squad took part in the annual ISACK competition at NES and were crowned overall champions.
U13 Girls ISACK Table Tennis
The U13 Girls Table Tennis squad took part in the annual ISACK competition on Tuesday, 4th March. Three teams entered the competition. However, on the day KES U13 team had to pull out which left just NES and TES to battle it out to see who would become 2014 champions. The competition involved 6 players seeded from number 1 to number 6. Each pupil played against the corresponding seed from NES in a best of 3 sets to 21 points match. At the end of the 6 games the scores were level at 3-3. Therefore, seed 1, Hannah Mathew, had to play seed 1 from NES in a sudden death first to 11 winner takes all game. At 9-10 down Hannah hit back and then won the next 3 points to claim victory 12-10. This meant that TES became champions of the 2014 U13 table tennis competition for the 3rd year in a row. A super achievement. Well done to all of the girls involved: Hannah Mathew, Ranna Kiswanni, Lana Tawil, Nour Rashid, Caroline Castella and Cameron Uys.
