Year 5 Sports Day
On Thursday, 11th February the Year 5 pupils took part in their annual sports day. After a heavy downpour of rain, the event nearly had to be postponed. However, after a mammoth effort from the fantastic security and cleaning staff the event went ahead as planned. It was a fabulous morning of sport as each house group rotated around six field events (long jump, triple jump, high jump, javelin, discus and shot putt). Pupils scored between 5 and 30 points which all contributed to the overall house totals. After the field events the pupils took part in the track events and the parents were treated to some super obstacle, sprint and relay races. To finish the morning the pupils took part in a tug of war competition and even the parents got involved in a parents v Year 7 helpers tug of war, which the parents won! The results were then announced and Windsor was crowned champion house after a fabulous display in all events which saw them finish over 100 points ahead of Sandringham in 2nd place.
