TES Y5/6 Benchball Girls storm to Victory
On Wednesday, 23rd October the Y5/6 Girls competed in the annual KFSAC girls benchball tournament. The girls were fantastic, winning all of their games superbly and for the 3rd year in a row became the KFSAC champions. Please read the blog report for more details.
ISACK U13 Boys Football
TES played BSK this week in the 4th game of the U13 football season. The game started at a fast and furious pace with TES working extremely hard from the kick off. After a few minutes of TES pressure, the ball bounced nicely for Ethan Doughty who struck an unstoppable shot from 20 yards past the BSK goalkeeper. The game continued in similar fashion and TES had further chances to extend their lead. However, on the counter attack BSK equalised with a nice move ending in a clinical finish from their striker. TES hit straight back and had two more good chances on goal before Yousef Abul Enein twisted and turned in the box and fired TES into the lead. In the 2nd half TES continued to fight and battle for every ball. TES had another two opportunities to increase their lead and had a very good shout for a penalty turned down. BSK could not get into the game, but with 5 minutes remaining a shot from the BSK striker was saved superbly by Elias Lambros. TES defended well for the last 5 minutes and the game ended 2-1 to TES. A superb victory, that each and every one of the players should be very proud of. Next week the boys take on NES in the last league game of the season before the semi finals take place.
ISACK U13 Girls Volleyball
The U13 girls volleyball team this week took on ESF in the 4th game of the ISACK volleyball season. The girls took a commanding lead and claimed the first set 25-14. The second set, however, was not as comfortable and after a shaky start TES pulled themselves together to claim the victory 25-23. The girls play BSK next week in the final game of their league season before the semi finals take place the week after.
ISACK Boys Swimming Gala
On October 9th TES U13 swim squad competed in the U13 ISACK boys swimming gala held at TES. The boys set many personal bests and competed extremely well. Overall the squad finished in 2nd place with 52 points losing to KES by 1 point. The boys will get their chance for revenge in a couple of weeks when the 2nd ISACK gala takes place, again at TES. Well done to all of the boys involved.
KFSAC Y5/6 Football
This week the Y5/6 boys football team took on GES at the Almasila football pitches. In a fast and frenetic opening TES conceded first but then equalised through Brian Al Saleh. The game remained tight until GES scored twice in quick succession to make the game 3-1. Unfortunately for TES they could not get back into the game and the score finished 3-1 to GES. The B team fared much better and triumphed 2-0 with goals from Owain Watts and Cameron McEwan. The result means that the B team have now won 3 and drawn 1 of their 4 games. Next week the boys take on ATIS at Almasila.
