Brilliant U13 Boys football team make the final
U13 Boys ISACK Football
On Tuesday, 12th November TES took on BSK in the semi final of the U13 football competition at Hasan Abul pitches. In a fantastic match TES started brightly and worked very hard to set a super tempo to the game. BSK played some neat football but our TES defence, marshalled by captain Alex McEwan was superb and kept the BSK forward line at bay. TES worked tirelessly all over the pitch and competed ferociously for very ball. Ethan Doughty began to dominate the midfield area and Brian Al Saleh started to look dangerous on the left wing. After a few half chances from TES, Brian Al Saleh flicked the ball and it bounced perfectly for Yousef Abul Enein to volley a fantastic strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner of the net. Minutes later Brian Al Saleh was brought down on the edge of the box. The left winger placed the free kick, stepped up and curled an unstoppable shot into the top corner past the helpless BSK keeper to make the score 2-0 to TES. The 2nd half continued in the same way. TES carried on their hard work and were first to every ball. All over the pitch the boys worked tirelessly with TJ Gamali and Elijah Mathew solid at the back. Adam Gamali was terrific on the right wing and he set the tone for the team with the energy he put into working back in defence and in attack. TES had a couple of chances to seal the game but could not take them. However it was of no concern as the TES defence and midfield were in complete control and BSK had no answer to the determination of the TES players. The game ended 2-0 to TES and puts them through to the final. It was a quite outstanding performance from the TES boys and something they should all be very proud of. The final takes place next week on Tuesday, 19th November at Hasan Abul football pitches.
U13 Girls ISACK Volleyball
TES U13 girls volleyball team took on KES in the semi final of the ISACK competition last Thursday. After winning 4 and losing 1 of their 5 games in the league programme, TES went into the game with a lot of confidence. In the 1st set KES played some excellent volleyball and although TES competed well they lost out 25-18. The second set was similar to the first and although TES competed, once again, really well they were just not good enough to beat a very strong KES team, losing 25-17 in the 2nd set. The defeat brought to an end the girls volleyball season. However, it has been a good season for the girls, who have played some super volleyball at times and achieved some excellent results throughout the season. Well done to all of the girls involved and for the hard work put in by the girl’s coach, Mrs Peterson.
