U13 Boys Football Squad make the Final
On Tuesday 12th February, TES boys U13 ISACK football team played KES in their final game before the semi finals of the competition. They played extremely well and recorded a 10-0 victory. Imad Khachab was the star of the show scoring 2 and having a superb all round game. Brandon Jones 4, Andrew Al Salah 2 and Sam Watts 2 completed the scoring. It was an impressive display from TES leading up to their semi final v GES.
The semi final took place on Tuesday 19th February. TES took on a strong GES team who they drew 2-2 with a few weeks earlier during the season. TES started in fantastic fashion going 2-0 up within 10 minutes playing some outstanding football. Andrew Al Salah in particular was pulling all of the strings in midfield. His through ball sent Imad Khachab away for the first goal who’s cross to the far post was turned into the goal by a GES defender. The second goal was again a superb move from TES starting with a ball over the top from Andrew Al Salah to Imad Khachab who crossed this time for Donaven Lobo to head home. Just before half time GES came back into the game and scored a good goal to make the half time score 2-1 to TES. GES came out battling in the second half and equalised after 10 minutes with a wonderful strike. Within minutes however TES went ahead again. Brandon Jones thumped the ball into the net after a scramble in the goal mouth. With seconds remaining in the game it looked as though it would be TES afternoon, however a soft shot from the GES left winger trickled over the line. The game went to penalties with GES and TES both missing one of their 5 kicks. Tariq Salah then pulled off a superb save to deny GES in sudden death. It was left to Imad Khachab to step up and score to send TES into the final.
An excellent performance from the boys means they will now play NES in the final on Monday 4th March after the half term holiday.
U13 Girls are narrowly beaten by KES in U13 Netball Semi Final
The U13 ISACK Girls netball squad played KES on Tuesday 12th February in the semi final of the competition. In a tight affair TES narrowly lost out 10-9. It was an excellent performance from the girls who worked extremely hard and produced some very good netball to go close against the favourites for the competition. Well done to all of the girls involved during the season.
U11 KFSAC Girls football squad finish 3rd
The Y5/6 U11 Girls Football squad travelled to NIS school on Saturday 9th February to compete in the annual football tournament against 9 other KFSAC schools. The TES girls played really well in all of their games and easily made it through to the semi finals. In the semi final they played ATIS and were unfortunate for a penalty to be given against them. ATIS scored the penalty and although TES dominated the rest of the game they could not score. TES had to settle for the 3rd/4th place play off which they won 1-0 against GES to finish in 3rd place. ABS beat ATIS in the final. Well done to all of the girls involved: Cameron Uys, Charlotte Thompson, Eve Peterson, Amy O Kane, Kathryn Taylor, Izzy Jones, Georgia Ainger, Hannah Mathew, Mariam Noureddine, Nour Rashid and Aysha Al Arfaj.
